Went to the TOAE

I went to the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition today at Nathan Phillips Square and here are my faves. The show runs until Sunday July 8th, 6:30 PM.

First up are these folks I have the pleasure of already knowing:

Fellow Leyton Gallery artist Sarah Hillock, whose Owl painting I especially love this year.

Amazing screenprinter Jacob Rolfe, who also has designed some of Living Planet’s best t-shirts.

Jason Holley, who makes amazing and intricate ceramic chainmaille sculptural works.

ALSO:

Hilarious and fun paintings, mostly of bears, some playing musical chairs

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some lovely, large laser woodcuts with screenprinted elements

Wonderful layered cut-out drawings, mainly of Toronto street scenes

Really fun screenprints incorporating vintage and animal imagery

Annyen Lam makes these super fine cut-outs; I really loved the streetcar pieces.

Lucky Jackson – who is making a piece every single day this year!
