Comics and Paintings

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

I made a second batch of my latest comic book this week, and I took a picture of all the crap layed out for you to enjoy.

If you’d like to buy a copy ($3) or make a trade, please contact me! I might be heading to FanExpo 09 next weekend, so I figured I should have a few more on hand. I’ll also be spending the next few months in Toronto. I’m hoping to do some printing and volunteering at the Open Studio printshop, and make more comics! And probably play some Nintendo and visit the zoo a zillion times.

Here are the last two large paintings I’ll be making, for a little while. I’m definitely going to miss my awesome studio for the next few weeks.

Cape Spear, acrylic and permanent marker on canvas

Rhino Bath, acylic and permanent marker on canvas

Blind contour street drawings

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

I did some blind contours today while waiting for my cousin. I’m pretty happy with them, I think there’s a painting in there somewhere.

I think they turned out better than these cruddy, lazy ones I did last week at the park.

I have this iPod application called Brushes, which I’m not very good at using yet, but it’s fun. If you go to the website and check out the gallery, you can see the awesome stuff people are doing with this thing.

Here are a couple I’ve done. Pretty rough looking! The first is of my friend Lisa who likes crossword puzzles and was wearing a cat lady t-shirt at the time. The second is a dude at the coffee shop today who was wearing a CBC t-shirt that I keep seeing around and also want.
